Manuscript Type
The Ganaya: Jurnal Ilmu Sosial dan Humaniora accepts two main types of scholarly manuscripts: Original Research Articles and Review Articles.
1. Original Research Articles
Original Research Articles present original empirical findings or theoretical analyses that contribute to political science and public policy scholarship. They may employ qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods approaches and use primary data, secondary data, documents, or other relevant empirical sources.
Manuscripts must clearly explain the research question, research design, data sources, analytical methods, and main findings, demonstrating originality, methodological rigor, and a clear scholarly contribution.
2. Review Articles
Review Articles provide critical and systematic examinations of existing literature relevant to political science and public policy. Ganaya: Jurnal Ilmu Sosial dan Humaniora considers narrative reviews, scoping reviews, systematic literature reviews (SLRs), integrative literature reviews, and other relevant forms of literature review.
These manuscripts must go beyond summarizing previous studies by offering critical synthesis, identifying research gaps, evaluating theoretical or conceptual developments, or developing new perspectives. Authors must explain the literature selection strategy and analytical or synthesis methods appropriate to the review approach.
3. Manuscript Length
All manuscripts must not exceed 8,000 words, excluding the reference list, table contents, and figures. The word count includes the abstract, main text, footnotes, and table and figure captions.
All submissions must demonstrate originality, relevance to the journal's focus and scope, sound academic argumentation, appropriate methodology, and compliance with publication ethics. The editorial team conducts an initial assessment before deciding whether a manuscript may proceed to peer review.
