About the Journal

Ganaya: Jurnal Ilmu Sosial dan Humaniora is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published by Jayapangus Press. Since 2021, the journal has maintained a quarterly publication frequency, with four issues published annually in February, May, August, and November.

To facilitate the timely dissemination of scholarly research, the journal implements a continuous publication model within its scheduled quarterly issues. Under this model, accepted manuscripts are published individually as soon as they have successfully completed all required editorial and production procedures, without waiting for other articles assigned to the same issue to be finalized.

Publication Schedule

The journal publishes four issues each year according to the following schedule:

  • Issue 1: February

  • Issue 2: May

  • Issue 3: August

  • Issue 4: November

Each issue remains open for the progressive publication of accepted articles during its designated publication period. Articles are added individually to the relevant issue as they become ready for publication, ensuring timely access to scholarly findings while maintaining the journal's established quarterly publication structure.

Continuous Publication Policy

Ganaya: Jurnal Ilmu Sosial dan Humaniora adopts a continuous publication approach to minimize unnecessary delays between manuscript acceptance and online publication.

Once a manuscript has successfully completed the peer-review process, received final editorial acceptance, and fulfilled all necessary production requirements, including copyediting, layout preparation, proofreading, and metadata verification, the article is published online in the designated journal issue.

The publication of an accepted article does not depend on the completion, acceptance, or readiness of other manuscripts within the same issue. Accordingly, articles may be published individually at different times throughout the issue's publication period.

This approach enables authors to disseminate their research findings promptly and allows readers to access newly published scholarly contributions without waiting for the completion of an entire issue.

Manuscript Submission and Editorial Process

The journal accepts manuscript submissions throughout the year through its online submission and editorial management system.

All manuscripts undergo preliminary editorial screening to assess their relevance to the journal's aims and scope, compliance with submission requirements, originality, and adherence to research and publication ethics.

Manuscripts that satisfy the initial screening requirements are subjected to a single-blind peer-review process, in which reviewers are aware of the authors' identities, while the reviewers' identities remain confidential to the authors.

Editorial decisions are based on scholarly quality, methodological rigor, originality, relevance, and compliance with the journal's publication standards. The continuous publication model does not eliminate, accelerate at the expense of quality, or otherwise compromise the required editorial and peer-review procedures.

Article Publication and Issue Assignment

Following final acceptance and completion of the production process, each article is assigned to an appropriate quarterly issue and published online without unnecessary delay.

Published articles are made immediately accessible through the journal's official website. Each article is provided with the relevant bibliographic information, including its title, authorship, volume, issue number, publication date, and other applicable publication metadata.

Articles are progressively incorporated into the designated issue until the editorial board formally closes that issue. Once an article has been published, its publication record is maintained to support accurate identification, indexing, citation, and scholarly accessibility.

The continuous publication model allows the journal to maintain its quarterly issue structure while ensuring that individual articles are not unnecessarily delayed by the production schedules of other manuscripts.

There is no embargo period between the official online publication of an article and its availability to readers.
