LoA Provisions
1. General Policy
Cetta: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan is committed to maintaining transparency, academic integrity, editorial independence, and ethical standards throughout the manuscript evaluation, acceptance, and publication processes.
A Letter of Acceptance (LoA) is an official confirmation that a submitted manuscript has successfully completed the required editorial evaluation and peer-review procedures and has been formally accepted for publication.
The journal implements an electronic acceptance notification system, in which the LoA is communicated directly to the corresponding author through an official email message. The acceptance notification email serves as the journal's formal and valid confirmation of manuscript acceptance.
The journal does not issue a separate LoA document in PDF format, a printed acceptance letter, or an additional acceptance certificate. The official acceptance email constitutes sufficient documentary evidence of the manuscript's acceptance for publication.
2. Requirements for Manuscript Acceptance
An official acceptance notification is issued only after the manuscript has fulfilled the following requirements:
a. Initial Editorial Screening: The manuscript has passed the preliminary assessment of its relevance to the journal's aims and scope, originality, formatting requirements, and ethical compliance.
b. Peer-Review Completion: The manuscript has successfully undergone the journal's single-blind peer-review process and received recommendations supporting its acceptance.
c. Revision Compliance: The authors have adequately addressed the reviewers' and editors' comments, where applicable.
d. Final Editorial Approval: The responsible editor has formally approved the manuscript for publication after evaluating the reviewers' recommendations and the final manuscript.
e. Publication Ethics Compliance: The manuscript meets the journal's requirements concerning originality, authorship, research integrity, conflicts of interest, and responsible scholarly publishing.
The final acceptance decision is made exclusively by the authorized editorial team. Reviewer recommendations alone do not constitute formal manuscript acceptance.
3. Peer-Review and Editorial Decision Timeline
The journal strives to ensure an efficient and rigorous editorial evaluation process while maintaining internationally recognized standards of scholarly publishing.
The initial peer-review process typically takes approximately two weeks, depending on manuscript complexity, reviewer availability, and the extent of the required evaluation.
The overall duration from submission to final acceptance may vary depending on the number of review rounds, the authors' responsiveness to revision requests, and editorial considerations.
The journal does not guarantee manuscript acceptance or issue acceptance notifications solely to accommodate authors' administrative deadlines, institutional requirements, or requests for expedited processing.
4. Official LoA Issuance Through Email
Cetta: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan issues its Letter of Acceptance exclusively in the form of an official acceptance notification email.
Once the manuscript has received a final acceptance decision, the corresponding author is notified electronically through the journal's official editorial communication system.
The acceptance email serves as the formal LoA and includes, where applicable, the following information:
- The official name of the journal.
- The title of the accepted manuscript.
- The name of the corresponding author.
- The manuscript identification number, where available.
- A clear statement confirming that the manuscript has been accepted for publication.
- The date of the acceptance notification.
- Information regarding subsequent publication procedures, where applicable.
The official email notification is considered valid evidence of manuscript acceptance and may be used by authors for academic, institutional, or administrative purposes.
No separate PDF attachment, digitally signed acceptance certificate, or printed LoA will be provided. Authors who require proof of acceptance for institutional reporting, research administration, or academic documentation may use the official acceptance notification email issued by the journal.
5. Validity and Verification of Acceptance Notifications
An acceptance notification is considered authentic only when it originates from the journal's authorized editorial communication system and corresponds to a formally accepted manuscript recorded in the journal's editorial management system.
The journal reserves the right to verify the authenticity and validity of acceptance notifications upon request from authors, academic institutions, research organizations, or other relevant parties.
Verification may be conducted by contacting the journal through the official contact information provided on its website.
Forwarded messages, screenshots, or reproduced acceptance notifications may be subject to additional verification when their authenticity cannot be independently established.
Any falsified, altered, or unauthorized acceptance notification shall not be recognized as valid evidence of manuscript acceptance.
6. Relationship Between LoA and Article Processing Charges
The issuance of an official acceptance notification is based exclusively on the manuscript's scholarly merit, successful completion of peer review, and final editorial approval.
Payment of submission or publication fees does not guarantee manuscript acceptance and does not influence the independent editorial decision-making process.
Authors are required to comply with the journal's applicable Article Processing Charges (APC) policy and associated administrative procedures.
Any applicable publication payment requirements are communicated separately from the academic evaluation and acceptance decision.
The official acceptance notification confirms the manuscript's academic acceptance but does not necessarily indicate that all subsequent publication administration and production requirements have been completed.
7. Relationship Between LoA and Continuous Publication
Since 2021, Cetta: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan has maintained a quarterly publication schedule, with four issues published annually in January, April, July and October.
The journal implements a continuous publication model within its scheduled quarterly issues, allowing accepted manuscripts to be published individually upon completion of the required editorial, administrative, and production procedures.
Following official acceptance, the manuscript proceeds to copyediting, proofreading, layout preparation, metadata verification, and other necessary production stages.
Once these procedures have been completed, the article is published online in the designated issue without waiting for other manuscripts assigned to the same issue to be finalized.
The estimated publication period following manuscript acceptance is approximately two weeks, subject to production readiness and completion of the applicable requirements.
The official acceptance email confirms that the manuscript has been accepted for publication; however, it does not constitute evidence that the article has already been published.
The article's official publication date is the date on which it becomes publicly available through the journal's website.
8. Ethical Compliance and Revocation of Acceptance
The journal reserves the right to reconsider or revoke a manuscript's acceptance if substantial ethical violations, serious academic misconduct, or material irregularities are identified before publication.
Such circumstances may include plagiarism, fabricated or falsified data, duplicate publication, unethical authorship practices, serious misrepresentation of research findings, or other violations of the journal's publication ethics policies.
Any decision to revoke acceptance must be supported by documented evidence and appropriate editorial assessment. Where applicable, authors will be given an opportunity to respond to the concerns raised.
If acceptance is formally revoked, the journal will communicate its decision to the corresponding author through an official email notification.
An acceptance notification that has been formally revoked shall no longer constitute valid evidence of manuscript acceptance.
9. Transparency and Editorial Independence
Cetta: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan is committed to ensuring that all editorial decisions and acceptance notifications are issued fairly, objectively, and independently of financial, institutional, or personal considerations.
The issuance of an official acceptance email does not provide preferential treatment, guarantee publication in a particular issue, or exempt authors from the journal's editorial, ethical, and administrative requirements.
By implementing an email-based acceptance notification system, the journal seeks to promote efficient communication, transparent editorial documentation, administrative simplicity, and responsible scholarly publishing practices consistent with internationally recognized publication standards.
