Authorship Criteria
Authorship Criteria
Cetta: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan, Jayapangus Press, is committed to upholding academic integrity, transparency regarding author contributions, and scientific accountability in all articles it publishes. This authorship policy ensures that every individual listed as an author has made a substantial intellectual contribution to and assumes responsibility for the published scholarly work.
Authorship Criteria
An individual may be listed as an author only if they meet all the following criteria:
- Substantial contributions were made to the conception or design of the research, data collection, analysis, or interpretation of the research findings.
- Participated in drafting the manuscript or revising it critically, and provided significant intellectual input.
- Approved the final version of the manuscript for publication.
- All authors have agreed to take responsibility for the integrity and accuracy of their contributions and to cooperate in addressing any questions or issues concerning the validity of the research.
Contributions limited to administrative support, funding, general supervision, or technical editing do not automatically qualify an individual for authorship. Individuals who have contributed but do not meet all the above criteria may be acknowledged in the "Acknowledgments" section, subject to their consent.
Author Contributions and Order
All authors must agree on the order of authorship before the manuscript is submitted. To enhance transparency, the Cetta: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan requires an "Author Contributions" statement for articles with multiple authors.
This statement may refer to the Contributor Roles Taxonomy (CRediT), which includes roles such as conceptualization, methodology, investigation, formal analysis, data curation, writing—original draft, and writing—review and editing, among others. Each author may hold more than one role, depending on their contributions. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all authors have approved the submission of the manuscript, are aware of the editorial process, have consented to revisions and the final version of the article, and have provided accurate information regarding their contributions and author status.
Changes to Authorship
Any addition, removal, or change in the order of authors after a manuscript has been submitted must be accompanied by written justification and the consent of all authors, including the individual(s) being added or removed.
Such changes require the approval of the Editor-in-Chief or an independent editor appointed in the event of a conflict of interest. The Cetta: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan may pause the editorial process until any authorship-related issues are resolved.
Requests to change authorship after publication will be evaluated based on the available evidence and, if approved, addressed through a formal publication correction mechanism in accordance with the COPE guidelines.
Prohibition of Unethical Authorship Practices
Cetta: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan does not accept "gift authorship," "guest authorship," "honorary authorship," "ghost authorship," or any other form of authorship manipulation.
Generative AI systems cannot be listed as authors, as they are unable to fulfill the responsibilities of authorship, provide consent for publication, or take accountability for the scientific integrity of a work.
The use of AI technology to assist in the drafting, analysis, or processing of research material must be disclosed if it has a substantive impact on the process or content of the manuscript. Such disclosure must specify the tools used, their purpose, and the specific parts of the work for which they were employed. The use of AI for technical language editing does not absolve the authors of their responsibility for the content of the manuscript.
All authors remain responsible for the originality of the manuscript, validity of the data, accuracy of citations, protection of research information, and precision of all scientific statements.
Conflicts of Interest and Authorship Disputes
All authors are required to disclose any relevant financial or non-financial conflicts of interest, including a statement confirming that no such conflicts exist, if applicable. Further provisions are governed by the Cetta: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan Conflict of Interest Policy.
Any disputes regarding authorship will be handled objectively and fairly while maintaining the confidentiality of the parties involved. The editor may request clarification, evidence of contributions, and consent from the authors to publish the manuscript. If a dispute cannot be resolved through the editorial process, Cetta: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan may request an investigation by the institution with which the authors are affiliated.
This policy applies to all manuscripts submitted to or published in Cetta: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan.
