Focus and Scope

Cetta: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan is an scientific journal published by Jayapangus Press, aims at providing scientific insights regarding various educational situations or interactions, of all level and types of education. The focus of the journal are: 1) Review of educational curriculum, 2) Review of learning materials, 3) Teaching media and teaching aids, 4) Teaching methods and strategies, 5) Teacher’s competencies, 6) Studies on learner’s and teacher’s development, 7) Educational institution management studies, 8) Characters, gender, and educational evaluation.

 

Peer Review Process

Cetta: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan implements a rigorous and systematic single-blind peer review system to ensure the originality, academic quality, methodological rigor, and relevance of published manuscripts. Under this system, reviewers are aware of the authors' identities, while reviewers' identities remain confidential.

The peer review process consists of the following stages:

  1. Initial Editorial Screening: All submitted manuscripts undergo preliminary evaluation to assess their relevance to the journal's focus and scope, originality, academic quality, compliance with author guidelines, and adherence to publication ethics. 

  2. Reviewer Assignment: Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least one independent reviewer with relevant academic expertise. Reviewers must maintain confidentiality, provide objective evaluations, and disclose any potential conflicts of interest.

  3. Peer Review Evaluation: Reviewers assess manuscripts based on originality, theoretical contribution, methodological soundness, quality of analysis, clarity of presentation, relevance of references, and contribution to educational research. Reviewers are expected to complete their evaluations within two weeks of accepting the review assignment.

  4. Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewer's recommendations, the editorial team determines whether a manuscript is accepted, requires minor or major revisions, or is rejected. Authors are informed of the editorial decision and relevant reviewer comments.

  5. Revision and Final Acceptance: Authors must address reviewers' comments and submit revised manuscripts when required. Revised manuscripts may undergo further evaluation before a final editorial decision is made. Accepted articles proceed to copyediting, proofreading, and publication.

Cetta: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan is committed to maintaining confidentiality, editorial independence, transparency, and academic integrity throughout the peer review process in accordance with internationally recognized publication ethics principles.

 

Publication Frequency

Cetta: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan has been published quarterly since 2021, with four issues released annually in January, April, July, and October. The journal adopts a continuous publication model within each scheduled issue, allowing accepted manuscripts to be published online individually upon completion of the peer-review, editorial, and production processes, without waiting for all articles in the issue to be finalized. This approach ensures the timely dissemination of scholarly research while maintaining the journal's established publication schedule and editorial quality standards.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Authors who publish their manuscripts in Cetta: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Copyright Retention: Authors retain full copyright and intellectual property rights over their published works. No transfer of copyright ownership to Cetta: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan or its publisher, Jayapangus Press, is required or implied under this agreement.

  2. Publication Rights: Authors grant Cetta: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan a non-exclusive right of first publication, including permission to publish, reproduce, distribute, archive, and disseminate their articles.   3.
