Various efforts can be made to overcome mental disorders, including by utilizing the meaning of myths. Unfortunately, some people understand myths incorrectly so that they are unable to utilize them appropriately. The purpose of this study is to obtain an overview of the variation of Balinese Hindus' interpretation of the myth of mental disorder in the “Buduh” short story by Ida Bagus Widiasa Keniten. This research was conducted by following a qualitative descriptive procedure; the data analyzed are non-numerical. Specifically, content analysis of the literary works studied was carried out so as to obtain results in accordance with the theme of the study. The findings of this study reveal that the myths in the “Buduh” short story are in line with the teachings of Hinduism. It is also considered that the holistic aspect of mental health must touch the physical, mental, and spiritual dimensions. The incompleteness of interpreting mental disorders will lead to incomplete treatment. In the “Buduh” short story, the author presents myths of mental disorders ranging from supra-rational to logical levels. The supra-rational element is spiritual, supernatural, and mystical. Supra-rational meanings include belief in repeated births (punarbhava) and black magic. At the supra-rational level, it is very difficult for humans to gain a logical understanding of the causes of mental disorders. Nevertheless, people who interpret it are still directed towards nobility of character. Meanwhile, at the logical level, the causes of mental disorders can be traced with common sense. Ultimately, both supra-rational and logical myths actually stimulate humans to be able to behave wisely as both domestic and external parties. When this happens, a complete human relationship will soon be realized.
I Putu Suweka Oka Sugiharta Copyright (c) 2025 I Putu Suweka Oka Sugiharta https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jayapanguspress.penerbit.org/index.php/metta/article/view/3886 Sun, 16 Mar 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Menyoal Pemilihan Umum Serentak Dan Penegakan Hukumnya https://jayapanguspress.penerbit.org/index.php/metta/article/view/3997
Through MK decision no. 14/PUU-XI/2013 concerning the review of Law no. 42 of 2008 concerning the General Election of the President and Vice President states that general elections in Indonesia are held simultaneously between the legislature and the executive, which is generally known as simultaneous general elections. However, in its implementation, this simultaneous general election still experienced a number of problems. This is why law enforcement in simultaneous general elections is very important to realize honest and democratic elections. The aim of this research is to examine the problems that occurred in simultaneous elections and their law enforcement. The research method used in this research is normative legal research, which refers to doctrine and theory as well as statutory regulations and previous research that are relevant to the problem at hand. The research results show that several problems that arise related to simultaneous general elections include general election logistics issues, updating the final voter list, errors in vote counting due to damaged or invalid ballot papers, as well as money politics problems that still occur. General election law enforcement must pay attention to three benchmarks, namely General Election Administration Provisions (KAP), General Election Criminal Provisions (KPP), and General Election Ethics Provisions (KEEP). These three elements need to be empowered and regulated repeatedly in order to create law enforcement and democratic resolution of election disputes.
I Made Sugita Copyright (c) 2025 I Made Sugita https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jayapanguspress.penerbit.org/index.php/metta/article/view/3997 Sun, 16 Mar 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Dampak Implementasi Pertanian Berkelanjutan Terhadap Stabilitas Ekonomi Dan Pembangunan Daerah Tertinggal https://jayapanguspress.penerbit.org/index.php/metta/article/view/4020
The real condition of the agricultural sector in underdeveloped areas, which still faces major challenges such as the need for agricultural products to be available in the long term and maintaining a balance between economic sustainability and environmental management.
